Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
Terex provides Bi-Energy and Genie DC equipment which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial settings where the machinery must travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and versatility of a diesel fueled generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Some of the important features offered by this combination comprise up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete versatility. As well, the zero tail-swing provided by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
The proportional and drive controls offer the machine with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates ninety degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine extreme lifting versatility and up, out and over positioning capabilities. The outreach offered by this particular type is the best in the market.
Diesel engine machines on most modes have an articulating boom that offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These equipment are great in small or narrow places. In addition, they provide utmost power, exceptional torque and grade and terrain maneuverability. The diesel engines are quiet overall also. Most models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet.
