Genie Zoom Boom

Genie Zoom Boom

During 1966, Bud Bushnell established Genie Industries. At that time, he bought the manufacturing rights to a material lift that functioned on compressed air. The name Genie came from the "magic in the bottle" that was used to raise and lower the hoist. This device really impressed customers and hence, the name was born.

Genie expanded operations and established itself into various new markets, because the need for platforms and work lifts grew. Over time, when the requirements for new machines to meet many applications grew, the company made itself recognized in numerous new markets. For instance, Genie went into manufacturing light towers, man-lifts, articulated booms, stick booms and telehandlers.

Because of the economic slump during the start of the 2000s, Genie decided to secure a partner who held the same values. They partnered up along with Terex Corporation. This company has a history acquiring equipment manufacturers across the globe who proved to be a good business match. Genie Industries was sold in 2002 and became a part of Terex Corporation.

Due to the Genie name and its solid reputation in the workplace, it was determined to maintain the Genie brand name as part of the Terex Aerial Work Platforms. This was just decided after the first few years following the sale. Hence, all Genie machinery continue to be marketed under the Genie brand name.

The company takes great pride in listening and taking advise from their clients. Genie has always been continually devoted to improving the quality and efficiency in addition to minimizing wastes. Even long after the sale has been closed, the company focuses on providing exceptional support. These are the very work practices which have made Genie a trusted brand over the past decades and continue to keep their reputation for quality and top-of-the-line equipment.

The Bi-Energy and DC equipment provided by Genie provide quiet operation, emission-free even in the most delicate work settings. Where the machinery should be driven significant distances, such as within industrial situations, the Genie bi-energy system combines the power of a diesel-powered generator together with the advantages of a 48V DC equipment.

As opposed to any of the various types of aerial platforms, telescopic booms offer more horizontal reach overall. These machinery are great for limited access places in construction and other industrial environments. The Genie Telescopic S booms have been engineered to provide utmost productivity. These machinery provide supreme traction and the drive speed you require to be able to travel around the work site and job area.
