Manitou IC Forklift

Manitou IC Forklift

The forklift truck is an extremely large and strong machinery able to function efficiently and smoothly, lifting and moving objects in material handling orientated tasks. Numerous components should be replaced regularly because of damages and breakages.

Forklifts are extremely versatile equipment. A range of different accessories can be fitted onto the machinery in order to increase their capabilities and expand the jobs they are often able to finish. Some of the major different forklift components and accessories are described below.

Fork Extensions
Fork extensions are made to fit over the forklift's standard forks. These forks are able to be changed completely, or different components could be added to them so the truck could raise a range of different kinds of loads like for example telescopic loads, baskets, rollers, amongst others.

Forklift Seals and Bearings
The seals and bearings are particular lift truck components that allow the inner workings of the machine to function in an optimum and efficient way. Bearings allow two moving parts of the machine to work together smoothly, without any friction. If not fitted correctly, seals and bearings can occasionally break and wear down and these parts might need to be replaced occasionally. If a bearing is the correct type of bearing for the machinery and it is fitted correctly, this forklift component can easily outlive the life expectancy of the entire machinery.

Cabs
The cab part of the forklift truck is the section where the operator sits and controls the entire machinery. Based on the specific model, the cab can be open or it could have a roof. On a work site, this forklift part usually has a roof to minimize the risk of falling materials and comply with safety reasons.

Brake Forklift Parts
Forklifts trucks have brakes which are required to be regularly tested in order to ensure they are in good working condition. Often, these components must be replaced due to damage or extended wear.

Tires and Wheels
The forklifts tires and wheels are the components most usually damaged. Problems occur due to punctures from sharp objects on the floor and slashes from rough and uneven floor boards.
