Forklift Classifications
Below are the classes of forklifts which describe the use and fuel option of each kind of forklift. Certification is really needed for each class of forklift which the operator would be using.

Class 1 - Electric Motor Rider Trucks
These forklifts are available with either pneumatic tires or cushion tires. Pneumatic tires are suggested during dry conditions for outdoor use. The models with cushion tires are designed for smooth, indoor surfaces. These are electrically powered vehicles which utilize industrial batteries, that make them desirable inside closed locations where the quality of air is a problem. Hoist functions and travel are controlled by transistor motor controllers. These are versatile units commonly utilized everywhere from the loading dock to the storage facility.

Class 2 - Electric Motor Narrow Aisle Trucks
For the kind of environment where narrow aisles should be negotiated, this specific kind of forklift is suitable. They are effective at making the most of storage space. Their unique design makes them ideal for small spaces and where speed is needed.

Class 3 - Electric Motor Hand or Hand-Rider Trucks
