Kinds of Hydraulic Cranes
Hydraulic cranes are amongst the most frequently used types of crane in the construction business. They are used to make everything from roadways and freeway overpasses to buildings and skyscrapers.

There is a huge range of crane units, sizes and styles available on the market. There are a lot of different kinds in order to serve a variety of different reasons in the industry. Choosing the best kind of crane is vital for making sure that the material can be transported safely and efficiently to the location it has to get to in order for the construction process to start.

Truck Cranes
Truck cranes will normally have 2 different cabs. One cab is utilized to drive the truck unit when in transport mode, whilst the other is for controlling the crane. These cranes are really useful for building sites where a crane is required in many different locations for the duration of the build. This is because of the fact that the crane could be driven easily from one place to another.

Cranes can also be transported to various construction locations on the road because they drive themselves, which eliminates the need for extra transport vehicles. Being able to travel on their own really reduces transport costs at the end of the day.

One disadvantage of a truck crane is that it is not stable enough sitting on tires alone in order to be able to lift the major loads that a hydraulic crane can handle. Thus, in order to fix this problem, outriggers could be extended from the deck. The outriggers use hydraulic pressure to be able to slightly lift the truck off of the ground, making it balanced and stable.

Crawler-Mounted Cranes
The crawler crane is unique in that it has large tracks on the bottom of the crane. These huge tracks are very similar to backhoes and bulldozers. The tracks enable the crane to move around a construction site successfully.
