Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts offer height and versatility. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the individual utilizing it to raise the cargo to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard forklifts can not move the cargo away from and towards the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in both agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would often utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform that is designed to raise workers is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a chain or strap is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
