Narrow aisle lift trucks work by increasing the ratio of the storage space to the aisle width. Yale features the double reach NDR and the single reach NR units for aisle widths of eight to ten feet. The Yale Narrow Aisle trucks offer a Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment that has various stance and control handle configurations and use best-in-class ergonomics.
NDR & NR Productivity Enhancements
Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment: To be able to meet a wider variety of operations, there are many control handle configurations such as the aft stance, the choice of fore, and the side-stance options.
AC Motor Technology: The AC motor technology offers fast lifting speeds along with powerful deceleration and acceleration. It has been designed for quick plugging in order to facilitate more responsive directional changes which combine to increase the amount of cargo transported in a shift.
Reach & Mast Assembly: The mast reach assembly consists of trunion mounting and tapered roller bearings. This increases the mast durability and rigidity; along with the gusseted rear frame weldment, and the reach assembly carriage which are reinforced for long life.
Power Lowering: To really enhance the overall throughput and production, Yale provides industry leading uploading speeds and lowering speeds.
Regenerative Lowering: Though regenerative lowering could lessen battery changes per shift it also works to maintain a lower oil operating temperature.
Electronic Steering: The electronic steering eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps and hence greatly reduces energy. The steering tiller is adjustable by the operator and the technician can adjust the steer effort so as to decrease operator exhaustion. In the start-up process, drive tire centers automatically start.
Order Selectors: The narrow aisle trucks and the very narrow aisle trucks are also called order pickers. These machinery are made for the manual handling of racked loads that are smaller than pallet size. These order selectors elevate both the operator and the load to its required height. This height could be in excess of 30 feet. Like the majority of turret trucks they are usually rail or wire guided when used in very narrow aisle applications.
