Nissan has taken the initiative to build the very first pantograph type reach truck in the industry. This was due to the growing demand for high performing narrow aisle reach trucks. Introducing the new SRX Platinum Series of reach trucks has become part of the North American market. The launch in Australia is scheduled to follow very soon.
The SRX Platinum Series is available in 3 capacities. These load capacities range from 1360 kg to 2000. The system was made thanks to intensive operator participation on the design. These factors played a huge roll to ensure its acceptance into the hugely competitive reach truck market in the United States. The following excellent operator comfort and safety features have resulted for the Nissan trucks.
The exit and entry to the machine has been simplified thanks to a low step height. The model's side stance design makes driving both forward and reverse more comfortable for the operator. The model is complete with a gently sloped floorboard that is in place to sit over 4 vibration isolators. This design offers a relaxed driving position for the operator throughout a standing shift. Moreover, the SRX Platinum Series provides a cushioned floor mat to offer a ride which is smoother and more enjoyable.
The dual spring suspension system in the caster design adds to the equipment's smoothness of operation. This suspension on rough and uneven driving surfaces, the suspension has been designed to provide much better stability during operation. The thick padding located under the operator's arm enhances the total comfort factor further. There is a cushioned backrest and height adjustable knee pad in place also. The rear overhead guard post and the high operator backrest on the SRX Series provide additional protection for the operator. This is particularly important when working within tight and around racking locations.
The multi-function handle and the intuitive and ergonomically designed interior of Nissan's forklifts are made to achieve accurate control while lessening operator comfort. Some of the Operational commands consist of lower or lift, drive, reach, horn and the side-shift or other auxiliary function are capable of being performed and executed by this single handle.
